Bio

I have always had an affinity for helping others and I love being able to share my music with the world.  The band plays a variety of cover songs in broad variety of genre's.  My original's are from the heart and I share them to hopefully help others going through similar situations.  I want to inspire little girls to reach for the stars!  If you're looking for a band for your event look no further.  Reatha Pitman band has an entertaining, fun, and upbeat show anywhere along the Gulf Coast.  Continue reading for the full bio on Reatha Pitman.

Reatha Pitman is an Independent country music  recording artist and rising star out of Long Beach, MS. She wrote and recorded her debut EP while serving on active duty in the US Navy. Reatha can be seen around the Mississippi  and Alabama Gulf Coast and Louisiana's northshore, passionately supporting local military Veterans organizations.  She also strives to mentor young women and girls to pursue their dreams and to reach for the stars.

In October 2018, in Laurel, MS; Reatha's EP "Road On Which We Travel" was produced by Andrew Ishee.  Her music is being played on a variety of online radio stations including She Wolf Radio, BlastFM, Country Radio USA Productions, Karen's Indies, and more. Her music is also available on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon MP3, Youtube, and anywhere you download music.  Reatha was honored to participate in both the 2018 and 2019 Mississippi Songwriters Festivals and looks forward to continuing this tradition in 2021.  She recently joined the alliance as a marketing consultant to promote the Mississippi Songwriters Alliance and increase membership.  She is a true entertainer, and performs for  listeners with her powerful voice both locally as well as virtually for viewers around the world.  After spending 14 years in the Military, she uses her voice to honor her Country by performing the National Anthem at a variety of sporting events including the University of Southern Mississippi basketball teams as well as the Biloxi Shuckers minor league baseball games.

Reatha will tell you she is most influenced by artists such as The Judds, Martina McBride, Patsy Cline, and Reba. Her nostalgic "old country" sound has been majorly influenced by these iconic women. Often she is compared to a mix of both traditional country as well as modern country women such as Loretta Lynn, Tanya Tucker, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert.  Reatha is very excited to share her stories and music with the world and we invite you to travel with her on this musical journey and explore country music from Reatha's point of view.  When you find you need to listen to music to get through a tough time, or just relax, play a little Reatha Pitman and just escape for a bit into the music world.
